Dear Friends,

Because of the opening of my Fountain Display Garden and Studio, I am attempting to get some coverage in the local Tampa area press.

On October 13, 2005, a very nice article appeared on my work appeared in the Tampa Tribune. It is entitled: Creating a Natural Attraction. Thank you Kathy Steele. Also, thanks to my dauther, Brandy. Brandy wrote an email to the paper that prompted their article.

Any assistance that you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Just a simple call or email to any of the local news outlets listed below would be very helpful and deeply appreciated. The squeaky wheel is beginning to get the grease. Here is a list of local bay area television stations and newspapers. Please take a moment to call or email any of them to let them know that you think that my fountains are news worthy. If you attach my press release (below) to your email (copy and paste press release to a word file and then attach to your email) that is great, but a few personal words in the message would be even better.

Inspired by Florida’s natural beauty, since 1984, Fountain Artist, Joe Weinstein has made a career of sculpting beautiful “Coquina” water features, for residential and commercial clients throughout the S.E. He calls his business, Patio Paradise Fountains.

Mr. Weinstein announces the Opening of his Fountain Display Garden and Studio, at 4910 N. Florida Ave., Tampa, FL 33603. It is adjacent to Covivant Gallery, in South Seminole Heights.

Some of Mr. Weinstein’s accomplishments include:

  • Creating fountains for more than 60 Florists in the S.E. United States
  • Disney Village shop, The Pottery Chalet displayed one of his creations for several years
  • Designing water features for scores of Restaurants statewide, including many Oriental restaurants. Most recently he created a fountain for “Viva La Frida’s” Mexican restaurant, here in Tampa.
  • In April of 2003, he won Third Prize in an international writing contest sponsored by Gaudi Barcelona Club, for his short story entitled Gaudi and Whitman, Fountains of My Inspiration
  • Donating fountains for community fund raising events including:
  • Florida Orchestra Guild fashion show and silent auction
  • Dalmatian Rescue Society silent auction
  • USF Botanical Gardens fund raising event
  • Silver Spoons and Sandcastles silent auction event of the Tampa Mayors Beautification Program
  • Speaking at local garden clubs such as the local Bromeliad Society. On August 17, 2005 he was the guest speaker at the Safety Harbor Garden Club
  • Garden shops statewide feature his fountain creations, most notably his work is on display and for sale at The Tower & Garden Gift Shop at the Bok Tower Sanctuary, Lake Wales. "We have been selling Patio Paradise's small fountains in our gift shop for over a decade.   • Displaying his work locally at Home Shows and Garden Shows.
